Senior PTI leadership is “concerned” about Aleema Khan’s participation in party activities.
Senior PTI leaders expressed concerns to the party founder over Aleema Khan’s engagement in party affairs, according to sources.
PTI leaders assert that Aleema Khan frequently criticizes party leadership in her media appearances without understanding the issue’s broader context. In addition, they claim she has deceived the party founder during jail visits.
Additionally, according to sources, the founder has received concerns from a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa PTI leader regarding some of Aleema Khan’s contacts.
PTI founder Imran Khan allegedly responded by telling leaders to disregard his sister Aleema Khan’s remarks.
Aleema Khan, Khan’s sister, insists she is mostly concerned with her brother’s release and is uninterested in PTI politics.
The sisters of former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan, Aleema and Uzma Khan, were previously released on post-arrest bail in the D-Chowk protest case.
After hearing the case and hearing arguments from both parties, Judge Abual Hasnaat Zulqarnain of the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) granted Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan’s post-arrest release request against Rs20,000 surety bonds each.
While trying to get to D-Chowk for a scheduled protest on October 6, the Islamabad police detained a number of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers, including the sisters of party founder Imran Khan.
