Several villages are submerged by a high-level flood near Head Qadirabad, Chiniot.

Numerous nearby villages were submerged by extremely high-level flooding that occurred Thursday at Head Qadirabad and Chiniot in the River Chenab, according to Dunya News.

The river’s water flow was measured at 554,998 cusecs at Chiniot and more over 368,000 cusecs at Head Qadirabad. The flow was measured at 248,840 cusecs at Head Khanki.

Head Marala recorded a flow of 117,369 cusecs, while Head Trimmu recorded a flow of 277,922 cusecs, indicating a medium-level flood. Water levels on the Ravi River have dropped to 130,164 cusecs at Head Sadhnai.

Additionally, the River Ravi is experiencing medium-level flooding at Jassar and Shahdara. Shahdara reported a water flow of 108,960 csec, whereas Jassar recorded 78,300 csec.

Standing crops on thousands of acres of land in Uch Sharif have been submerged by water that has reached 20 additional residential areas as a result of the Sutlej River’s surge.

Khanewal has also been devastated by flooding, with scores of villages currently under water. The Chenab River’s flood wave is still wreaking havoc in Pindi Bhattian, as floodwaters are infiltrating the city’s western region and burying numerous areas.
