SHC directs the Ministry of Defence to provide a report on the case of the missing person.

After receiving information from authorities about the recovery of missing persons since 2018, the Sindh High Court (SHC) directed the Ministry of Defence (MoD) to submit a report.

The recovery of missing persons case was heard today by a two-member court presided over by Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto.

The family of Manghopeer resident Abdullah went before the court during the hearing.

In the next hearing, the ministry is required by the court to get reports from agencies and provide them to the court. It also gave the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) instructions to obtain the travel agency’s report on those who go missing.

The hearing was postponed to 21 August after the SHC called the deputy inspector general (DIG) investigation to present with updates on the case of Abdullah, the missing person.
