Shehbaz and Nawaz discuss potential federal government nominees.
During a meeting held here on Wednesday, former prime ministers Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif talked about potential candidates for the federal cabinet.
Party insiders claim that the younger Sharif informed his older brother about the talks with different allies.
They stated that a 25-member federal cabinet is anticipated to be constituted following the establishment of the administration. They said that the MQM is expected to receive three to five ministries.
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Farooq Sattar, Mustafa Kamal, Aminul Haque, and Khawaja Izharul Hasan are among the names that the MQM is currently examining.
According to sources, the Muslim League-N was considering 15 prominent leaders’ nominations for the federal cabinet. They consist of Marriyum Aurangzeb, Attaullah Tarar, Shiza khawaja , Khawaja Asif, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Ahsan Iqbal, and Ishaq Dar.
The federal cabinet is also considering the names of Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Raja Qamar Islam, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Sardar Owais Ahmad Khan Leghari, Bilal Azhar Kayani, and Riazul Haq.
Recall that on Tuesday, the PML-N announced Shehbaz as its candidate for prime minister and Maryam Nawaz as its choice for chief minister of Punjab.
In consultation with allies, the ultimate announcement of the prime minister candidate will be made. Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the party, has supported Maryam and Shehbaz for the coveted positions.
