Shehroze Kashif achieves a historic milestone as Pakistan’s youngest mountaineer to conquer all 14 peaks.

Shehroze Kashif has achieved the distinction of being the youngest Pakistani mountaineer to successfully ascend all 14 peaks exceeding 8,000 meters.

He accomplished the accomplishment today by successfully summiting Shishapangma, which has an elevation of 8,027 meters.

Kashif, recognized in the climbing world as “Broad Boy,” is the second Pakistani to accomplish this esteemed feat, succeeding Sarbaz Khan, who garnered attention earlier this year as the first Pakistani to complete the challenge.

Kashif commenced his climbing expedition in 2019 by reaching the summit of Broad Peak, which stands at 8,047 meters, at the age of 17.

In 2021, he ascended numerous renowned peaks, including Mount Everest, Manaslu, and K2. In the subsequent year, he further demonstrated his climbing expertise by summiting Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum I, and Gasherbrum II.

His remarkable run persisted with triumphant ascents of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Cho Oyu in the previous year.

Kashif intended to climb Shishapangma last year; however, an accident thwarted his objective. Had he triumphed at that moment, he would have entered the annals of history as the youngest individual to conquer all 14 eight-thousanders.

“I was aware of the considerable difficulty and the genuine risk to my life,” stated Shehroze Kashif, articulating his elation at his recent achievement.

I maintained my concentration on the objective. Upon my current position, I recognize that this accomplishment transcends mere mountain climbing; it pertains to surmounting anxieties, uncertainties, and constraints. The mountaineer declared, “It is nothing less than a miracle.”
