According to Sirajul Haq, the head of Jamaat-e-Islami, the election results seem to have been determined by a mathematical formula rather than a vote total.

Siraj declared in a statement that his party will uncover rigging by all constitutional and democratic measures possible.

He made it clear to the democratically minded political parties that they must keep up their efforts to defend the constitution and democracy.

Siraj questioned why the election process was being used to make selections if the country was to be transformed into a laughingstock. He underlined that during an election, it’s not just about winning or losing but also about defending the rights of the people.

A government established by cheating, the JI chairman said, would never be able to handle the problems facing the populace.
