SUPARCO announces World Space Week 2025 festivities around the country.

The world’s greatest annual space event, World Space Week 2025, has begun, according to the National Space Agency of Pakistan, or SUPARCO. It will be observed globally and in Pakistan from October 4–10.
The subject for this year, “Living in Space,” highlights how humanity is getting ready to live and work outside of Earth and highlights how crucial space science and technology are to determining humanity’s future.
The United Nations established World Space Week in 1999, and it is observed every year from October 4–10 to honor two significant events: the signing of the Outer Space Treaty on October 10, 1967, and the launch of Sputnik-1, the first artificial satellite, on October 4, 1957.
It provides a stage for showcasing space exploration’s outstanding accomplishments and how they have improved Earthly existence.
Since 2005, SUPARCO has served as Pakistan’s National Coordinator for World Space Week, spearheading this international event in the nation.
Pakistan has continuously been among the top countries in terms of the quantity of events it organizes; in 2024, it held the title of top country globally, with over 6000 events held nationwide.
SUPARCO has organized an exciting array of activities for World Space Week 2025 to introduce the public and schoolchildren to the glories of space exploration.
In addition to the flagship Space Camp 2025, which features exciting workshops and a contest on designing, building, and launching a model satellite, the activities include academic visits to SUPARCO facilities, space van visits to schools to reach students in remote areas, teacher training workshops on creating and launching water rockets in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Gilgit, and national competitions like the Best Space School competition, Space Ambassador contests for science and astronomy societies, and public competitions to foster creativity and scientific thinking.
Young cadres are encouraged to pursue professions in space science, satellite technology, remote sensing, astronomy, and related subjects via these varied activities, which aim to bring the joy of space closer to communities.
SUPARCO has urged the public and all institutions to come together and celebrate World Space Week 2025, the largest space event on Earth.
