Talal accuses the TLP of using the Gaza situation to sow discord.

Although Pakistan has been actively supporting peace efforts in Gaza, some organizations, such as Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), are exploiting the situation to sow discord at home, according to Interior Minister Talal Chaudhry on Thursday.

He described Pakistan’s participation in international negotiations while speaking outside Parliament House. He also chastised the TLP for planning rallies without official authorization.

Pakistan has led diplomatic and humanitarian efforts for Palestine, according to Talal Chaudhry. “A number of Palestinian students have been accepted into Pakistani institutions, and Pakistan has sent aid to Palestine,” he said.

He added that a 20-point peace deal was developed with Pakistan’s assistance after US President Donald Trump convened a summit of eight Muslim nations on Gaza, including Pakistan.

Chaudhry emphasized that if Hamas and Gaza have embraced the peace deal, then others shouldn’t protest. “Gaza wants peace, not rhetoric,” he stated.

TLP and internal turmoil are criticized.

The Interior Minister charged that some organizations were using the Gaza situation for their own political ends. He made reference to recent protests in Islamabad when he added, “Gaza is just an excuse; they actually want to cause chaos.”

He questioned whether Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) had received any sanction for its protests, but he acknowledged that Jamaat-e-Islami’s protest in Islamabad had been staged with official permission.

“Their leaders are blabbering,” Chaudhry said, adding that chemicals, salt sticks, and glass bullets were found among those detained during the demonstrations. He claimed that the people detained in Punjab and Islamabad were not peaceful.
