Temperatures in Karachi may dip to single digits following January 4.

A weather system expected to reach the country from northern Baluchistan today may affect the weather in Karachi, according to a meteorological official.

The Met Office forecasted rain accompanied by substantial snowfall in the hills in the western and northern regions of the country during the first week of January 2025.

The meteorologist stated, “The rain spell will commence tonight in the northern region of Baluchistan.” An official stated that Ziarat and surrounding regions are expected to have snowfall on the hills starting tonight.

The Met Office predicts rain and snowfall in the hilly regions of Balochistan, including Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qilla Abdullah, Qilla Saifullah, Chagai, Noushki, Kalat, Khuzdar, Harnai, Zhob, and Musakhel, from January 1st to 4th.

This weather system is anticipated to bring rain and significant snowfall to Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir from January 1st to 6th, and to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from January 1st to 5th.

Rain and precipitation are anticipated in Punjab and Islamabad’s federal territory from January 1 to January 6, 2025, with intermittent breaks.

Light rain is anticipated in the southern Punjab districts of Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Layyah, Muzaffargarh, Taunsa Sharif, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Okara, and Bahawalnagar from tomorrow till January 5th.

Cold and dry conditions are anticipated in most regions of Sindh, with minor precipitation forecasted for Dadu, Qamber-Shahdadkot, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, and Jacobabad on January 3rd and 4th.
