The army leader urges cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
In his address to the National Action Plan’s Federal Apex Committee, General Syed Asim Munir emphasized the importance of teamwork in combating the evil of terrorism.
In the fight against terrorism, he continued, all Pakistanis, whether or not they wear uniforms, are soldiers.
The army leader stated unequivocally that anyone who interferes with national security and prohibits us from carrying out our duties will suffer dire repercussions.
The Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies are overcome the governance’s shortcomings by making sacrifices every day, according to General Syed Asim Munir.
He asserted that the Pakistani Constitution is paramount for all of us and that it is on to us to ensure Pakistan’s internal and external security.
The Apex Committee, meanwhile, authorized a full-scale military campaign to combat terrorism in Balochistan.
According to a press statement released here, a full-scale military operation would be launched against terrorist groups including the Majeed Brigade, BLA, BLF, and BRAS that are active in Balochistan.
These gangs have been attacking foreigners and innocent citizens, causing instability to impede Pakistan’s economic development at the request of adversarial foreign powers. The operation’s goal is to eradicate these dangers and bring about regional peace.
The Committee underscored the necessity of a common national narrative and a unified political voice in order to address these complex issues. Consistent with the Vision Azm-e-Istehkam framework, it was emphasized that national consensus and cross-party political support are essential to the CT campaign’s success. Additionally approved were the establishment of National and Provincial Intelligence Fusion and Threat Assessment Centers as well as the reactivation of NACTA,” the statement continued.
To handle these concerns holistically, the apex committee established a whole-of-system approach that integrated military, socioeconomic, informational, diplomatic, political, and intelligence activities. For the CT campaign to be executed smoothly, special attention was paid to strengthening cooperation between the federal and provincial governments, as well as pertinent organizations and ministries.
