The Asaan Karobar Act was approved by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The prime minister gave the order to create a one-window operation to streamline documentation processes for traders and enterprises while presiding over a meeting on the ease of doing business.
Additionally, he gave instructions to seek Chinese specialists’ support in setting up an experimental facility service center that would be based after the Shenzhen One-Stop Shop.
An electronic register would be established for business registration, licenses, certificates, and other papers, in accordance with information regarding various projects and the facilitation of doing business.
It was further announced that all necessary government services would be accessible through the introduction of an online, one-window Pakistan Business Portal system.
A plan for the creation of the Islamabad Business Facilitation Center was being developed, it was informed.
Participants in the meeting included the PM’s coordinator, Rana Ehsaan Afzal, the chief secretaries of all four provinces, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Division Ahad Khan Cheema, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Minister for Industry and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain, Petroleum Minister Musadik Malik, and Minister of State for Finance and Revenue Ali Pervaiz Malik.
