The cost of electricity dropped for all customers.
To alleviate the burden on electricity users, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has announced a one-month reduction in power prices for both K-Electric customers and distribution firms (Discos).
The cut is a component of the monthly fuel price adjustment system.
As part of the November fuel charge adjustment, electricity tariffs for distribution company (Disco) customers have been lowered by 75 paisas per unit. Their bills for January will reflect the savings from this price reduction.
Similarly, as part of the October monthly fuel price adjustment, K-Electric customers would experience a 49 paisa per unit decrease in power pricing.
For both reductions, NEPRA has formally issued notices, guaranteeing that the modified tariffs would be implemented.
