The court has postponed the bail hearing for Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi till after Eid.

In six cases, the court has delayed the bail hearings for Imran Khan, the former prime minister and founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and in one case, for his wife, Bushra Bibi.
Judge Afzal Majoka presided over the hearing, which was held at the Judicial Complex in Islamabad. Imran Khan was defended in court by attorney Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry.
Imran Khan’s video appearance has not yet been scheduled, Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry told the court during the proceedings. The court staff said that no letter had been received from the jail administration when the judge asked if jail officials had responded regarding the video attendance.
The defense suggested any day during Ramadan as the date for arguments and asked the court to guarantee the prosecution’s attendance. Judge Majoka, however, suggested holding the hearing after Eid because he would be in training throughout Ramadan. Citing other obligations, advocate Chaudhry asked that it not be scheduled for the first week following Eid.
The court then postponed till April 15 the last arguments on Imran Khan’s six bail requests, Bushra Bibi’s case, and Khan’s video attendance.
