The disappearance of Bushra Bibi and Gandapur sets back the PTI protest.
Many of them were disappointed after a long wait, as PTI workers reportedly failed to persuade Ali Amin Gandapur to lead the march farther towards D-Chowk.
The workers were compelled to flee to Blue Area, with some even making their way back towards Zero Point, when the authorities drove the PTI demonstrators away from D-Chowk.
Bushra Bibi and Ali Amin Gandapur abruptly vanished from the crowd as the demonstration went on, which alarmed the demonstrators.
The PTI demonstrators, according to Naqvi, were trying to incite violence with the intention of creating martyrs by inflicting casualties—a situation the government made every effort to prevent.
Despite the PTI demonstrators’ use of violence, he clarified, the administration had successfully evacuated the D-Chowk area without any fatalities.
Atta Tarar, the minister of information, reiterated Naqvi’s comments during the news conference, denouncing PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi for trying to incite violence and using children as human shields.
In order to emphasize the gravity of the situation, he also displayed pebbles and shells that the demonstrators had used to assault law enforcement.
Tarar further accused PTI of using foreign aid to organize the protest, citing Afghan nationals as examples of foreign involvement, including a 16-year-old kid and a Swat daily wage worker.
Bushra Bibi is urging Ali Amin Gandapur to take the lead in the demonstration, he said. Tarar issued a direct challenge to Bushra Bibi and the PTI, asking them to present her sons and other family members for additional conflict. He emphasized that all cases are in the courts and should be handled there, and he asked if they were looking for a bargain or an NRO.
Tarar characterized Bushra Bibi as a lady who seeks violence, which is why she urges Ali Amin Gandapur to lead the demonstrations.
He questioned what could be talked with demonstrators in such a situation and cautioned that the government had repulsed PTI’s attack and would not consider any more talks, citing outstanding court cases.
Additionally, he cautioned against trying to test the state’s patience by accusing Bushra Bibi and Imran Khan, the founders of the PTI, of trying to further their political objectives through killing and violence.
