The federal government is working harder to make amends with the unhappy PPP leadership.

In an attempt to ease persistent tensions, the federal government has stepped up efforts to make amends with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and has started speaking directly with the party’s leadership.
Sources claim that today is set aside for a crucial meeting between PPP leaders and the administration. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar will meet with a PPP group that includes senior officials Naveed Qamar, Ejaz Jakhrani, and others.
The recent verbal spat that has soured relations between the coalition partners and outstanding issues will be the main topics of discussion at the meeting.
According to sources, the PPP team will discuss its complaints and issues with the deputy prime minister, especially those pertaining to anti-PPP remarks made by federal ministers and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. It is anticipated that the party would formally protest what it perceives to be a lack of coordination and respect.
PPP officials will also bring up issues pertaining to flood relief efforts, emphasizing how their suggestions about flood victims were disregarded, which has led to a great deal of discontent within the party. Along with outlining their demands for cooperation and effective support, they will also talk about the difficulties the party is facing in Punjab.
The PPP claims that the government ignored their helpful recommendations for helping flood-affected communities, further undermining coalition trust.
