The government is resolved to improve relations with Pakistanis living abroad: Dar

Ishaq Dar, the foreign minister and deputy prime minister, has reiterated the government’s resolve to improve relations with the Pakistani diaspora, honor their contributions, and provide them and their families with useful assistance back home.

In response to the Prime Minister’s orders following the Overseas Pakistanis Conference in April of this year, he chaired a committee meeting on Friday to assess the status of the special package for Overseas Pakistanis.

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the contributions of Pakistanis living abroad are recognized and gave the relevant ministries instructions to meet their goals as soon as possible.

Ishaq Dar went on to say that the government’s first objective is to make life easier for Pakistanis who live overseas and their families.

The Foreign Secretary, the Secretary for Overseas Pakistanis, representatives and senior officials from the IT, FBR, Finance, and other federal and provincial departments, as well as the Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis, the Minister of State for Railways, and Special Assistant Tariq Bajwa, attended the meeting.
