The headquarters of the Federal Constabulary will move from Peshawar to Islamabad.

The Federal Constabulary (FC) Headquarters will be moved from Peshawar to Islamabad by the federal government.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi presided over a high-level meeting at the Capital Development Authority (CDA) headquarters where the decision was made.
Talal Chaudhry, the minister of state for interior, the federal secretary for interior, the CDA chairman, the deputy commissioner of Islamabad, the commandant and deputy commandant of the Federal Constabulary, and other high-ranking officials attended the meeting.
Interior Minister Naqvi gave officials instructions during the meeting to find appropriate site in Islamabad for the new FC Headquarters and to submit a thorough master plan as soon as feasible.
He underlined that when determining the site, the force’s operational and training requirements must be taken into account.
The Federal Constabulary would be transformed into a cutting-edge, well-organized, and incredibly effective force, the minister continued.
The government made the decision to transform the Frontier Constabulary (FC) into a nationwide federal force earlier in July of this year. Additionally, the unit was dubbed the “Federal Constabulary.”
The force would have the authority to function in all four provinces, including Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, and the Islamabad Capital Territory.
Under the revised structure, the Federal Constabulary would be commanded by members of the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP).
The Federal Constabulary’s formation will significantly aid in maintaining national public order and internal security.
The action is a component of a larger initiative to enhance and modernize the FC’s operational capacities outside of its conventional regional boundaries.
