The London police “shut” their investigation into the vehicle attack case of Qazi Faez Isa.
A conviction would not be obtained with the evidence at hand, according to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), which apparently declined to prosecute the case.
Due to insufficient evidence to meet the threshold for prosecution, the matter has been terminated, according to sources from the City of London Police and the High Commission.
PTI members had already tried to block the former chief justice’s car, which was owned by the Pakistan High Commission, in London. They even broke the windows of the car. When they saw the car belonging to Qazi Isa, they ran alongside it while chanting slogans.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also vehemently denounced the London vehicle attack on the former top judge of Pakistan.
Naqvi condemned the event in his statement and directed the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to take prompt action to find the perpetrators.
Notably, the attack on former Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice (retired) Qazi Faez Isa was the subject of an official complaint made by the Pakistan High Commission in London, which did not provide a name.
