The Malaysian Prime Minister commends the Pakistan Army’s contribution to regional stability.
The Pakistani Armed Forces have been recognised for their professionalism and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism by Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who has lauded their contribution in maintaining peace and security in the area.
He invited the Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, to visit Malaysia in the same context and stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral connections, especially military ones, between the two friendly nations.
The Army Chief congratulated the Prime Minister on the successful visit to Pakistan and thanked him for the invitation. He added that this will help strengthen the long-standing and historic military ties between the two nations.

In honour of his support for Islamic causes and his strong friendship with Pakistan, President Zardari earlier awarded Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim the Nishan-e-Pakistan during a special investiture ceremony.
The Malaysian Prime Minister was known to be a fervent reader of Allama Iqbal and to have drawn inspiration from his writings, as was revealed during the event.
Throughout his political career, Anwar Ibrahim has been a well-known supporter of Islamic principles and charitable activities. A deep dedication to advancing social justice and tackling global concerns impacting the Islamic world characterises the leadership of Malaysia’s prime minister. Along with speaking out against injustice globally, he has also supported the causes of movements for self-determination.
In an effort to promote mutual respect and understanding amongst all cultures and religions, the Malaysian Prime Minister is actively combating Islamophobia.
