The mother of Army Chief Gen. Asim Munir dies

General Asim Munir’s mother, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), passed away.

Asim Ali Zardari, the president, expressed his condolences for the loss of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Asim Munir’s mother. In his condolence letter, the president expressed his sadness at learning of the army chief’s mother’s passing.

“I pray that may Allah Almighty bless the departed soul with eternal peace and grant courage and perseverance to the bereaved family to bear this phenomenal loss,” the president stated.

The army chief’s mother passed away, and Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani also sent his sorrow. He said that the news of Gen. Asim Munir’s mother’s passing was heartbreaking. May the army leader and his family be blessed with patience by Allah. “In this time of grief, we stand with the army chief,” the Senate chairman added.
