The PM begins a two-day official visit to Baku.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived here for the Republic of Azerbaijan’s two-day official visit.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yalchin Rafiyev, First Deputy Prime Minister Yaqub Abdulla oğlu Eyyubov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan Khazar Farkhadov, Ambassador of Pakistan to Azerbaijan Qasim Mohiuddin, and other high-ranking dignitaries welcomed the Prime Minister when he arrived at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

The Prime Minister will meet at high levels with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and other high-ranking officials while in the country.

Additionally accompanying the Prime Minister are Federal Ministers Jam Kamal Khan, Abdul Aleem Khan, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Attaullah Tarar, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar.

Pakistan and Azerbaijan will have extensive talks on topics of shared interest during the visit to further enhance their bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of energy, trade, defense, education, and climate change.

The two sides are anticipated to sign a number of memorandums of understanding and agreements in various areas of cooperation during the visit.

Additionally, a Business Forum hosted in association with the Republic of Azerbaijan’s Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) is anticipated to feature a keynote address from the prime minister.

Mutual trust, understanding, and a long history of mutually beneficial cooperation form the foundation of the fraternal relationship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan continues to be one of Pakistan’s most important strategic and economic partners, with close cooperation in many areas.

The Prime Minister’s visit demonstrates Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to further its economic cooperation with Azerbaijan and delve into new partnership opportunities for mutual growth.
