The PM calls a meeting to talk about the unfinished development projects in Karachi.

A meeting has been convened by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to talk about Karachi’s unfinished development projects.

MQM leaders and federal ministers are expected to attend the meeting, according to sources in the PM House. Officials from the PIDCL (Pakistan Infrastructure Development Company Limited) and representatives of the Sindh government have also been invited.

Concerns about projects under PIDCL’s supervision have been voiced by the Sindh government. The Green Line Metro extension project has been put on hold as a result of these protests.

However, the Karachi-Hyderabad package, which was part of the government budget for the current fiscal year, is also on hold. It is anticipated that the meeting would examine the complaints raised by the Sindh government, discuss the suggestions made by MQM, and make tangible progress regarding the jurisdiction of PIDCL and federally sponsored projects.
