The president expresses sorrow for Prince Karim Aga Khan’s passing.

President Asif Ali Zardari paid Prince Rahim Al-Hussaini his sympathies upon his arrival in Lisbon on Monday, the day after his father, Prince Karim Aga Khan, passed away.
He conveyed his deepest condolences on behalf of the Pakistani people and administration, stating that the country was grieving the loss of a “great philanthropist” and “true friend.”
The President expressed his profound sadness over the death of the late Aga Khan, whom he had known personally. Specifically in the areas of health care, education, community development, and poverty alleviation, he praised the late Aga Khan’s contributions to Pakistan’s social and economic advancement.
It is Asif Ali Zardari’s desire that Prince Rahim Al-Hussaini will carry on his father’s work for the good of humanity.
