The process of evacuating Pakistani citizens from Syria is overseen by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the NDM worked together under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership to successfully and safely evacuate 318 Pakistani nationals from Syria.
The Prime Minister personally oversaw the repatriation procedure and commended the authorities for their prompt action.
He also expressed gratitude to Najib Mikati, the prime minister of Lebanon, for the assistance his government provided in making the operation possible.
A chartered flight was used to transport the citizens from Beirut, Lebanon, to Islamabad.
With a thorough plan in place to guarantee their safe departure, the government is still dedicated to the safe repatriation of Pakistanis who are stranded in Syria.
The returnees were greeted at Islamabad International Airport by Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal and Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik, the chairman of the Ndma.
