The PTI founder’s appeal against Shehbaz Sharif in the defamation case is rejected by the LHC.

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has ruled that the PTI founder’s plea, which challenged the trial court’s decision to accept written testimony in Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s defamation case, is inadmissible.

Judge Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal of the LHC dismissed the PTI founder’s plea and declared the reserved ruling.

The petitioner contended that the trial court’s ruling was in conflict with the facts and that witnesses ought to show up in order to provide oral testimony.

Although the petitioner had asked the court to overturn the trial court’s verdict, the High Court maintained the legality of the written testimonies in the case and supported the initial decision.
