The Punjab government hosts an event at Liberty Chowk to show sympathy with Kashmir.
A Kashmir solidarity ceremony was held at Liberty Chowk on Tuesday by the province government.
As the event’s leader, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz lit a candle of remembrance in honor of the Kashmiri struggle.
To honor their bravery and sacrifices, she also placed a flower wreath at the Kashmir Martyrs’ Memorial.
Special prayers for the martyrs of Kashmir and the besieged Kashmiri people were said after a symbolic moment of silence.
Large billboards that portrayed the Wall of Martyrs of Kashmir’s Freedom Movement and a picture wall honoring Kashmir were also part of the event.
Additionally, a mock jail was constructed, with images of Kashmiri leaders and martyrs incarcerated.
Overall, the event brought attention to the Kashmiris’ subjugation.
