The regularization of the tourism police is announced by CM Gandapur.
Under the direction of Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority’s Board of Directors met for the fourth time on Tuesday at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
Following discussion of several agenda items, a number of significant decisions were taken. Along with other board members, the meeting was attended by provincial cabinet members, including Brigadier (Retd) Musaddiq Abbasi, Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Ikramullah Khan, and Zahid Chun Zeb.
The regularization of Tourism Police officers was announced by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, who also authorized raising their monthly pay from Rs 36,000 to Rs 45,000.
The board made the decision to give the Tourism Police more heavy bikes and cutting-edge communication equipment in order to bolster them even more. Additionally, the chief minister gave the tourism department instructions to start looking for additional tourist attractions in the province.
He directed that the next ADP include a scheme for the development of at least four additional tourist destinations.
Highlighting the growing number of tourists, he noted that 15 million domestic and international tourists visited Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last season, and emphasised the need to explore and develop new tourists spots. Gandapur issued directives to amend and publicise the master plan for the Thandiani Integrated Tourism Zone and emphasised the need for simultaneous construction of access roads for all integrated tourism zones.
He reaffirmed that the province continues to prioritize the tourist industry, which has enormous potential for investment and employment generation. The creation of the HR and finance committees within the Board of Directors was authorized by the board.
Additionally, it directed the formation of outsourcing, investment, and culture committees to enhance the operational efficiency of the tourism sector.
The Chief Minister concluded by underlining the immense opportunities in the tourism sector and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promoting the province as a premier destination for both domestic and international travelers.
