The Supreme Court rejects a bid to disqualify Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

A seven-member Supreme Court constitutional bench led by Justice Amin-un-Din dismissed the petitioner’s appeal for non-pursuance.

The Supreme Court heard a request to disqualify Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah for purportedly having dual nationality.

Roshan Ali, the petitioner, argued in his request that Chief Minister Sindh should be disqualified for lying in front of the electoral board during the 2013 general elections and hiding his UAE work visa and dual nationality.

The petitioner’s appeal against a Sindh High Court decision seeking the disqualification of the Sindh chief minister was previously denied by a Supreme Court court.
