The UAE President and PM Shehbaz reiterate their commitment to enhancing bilateral relations.

RAHIM YAR KHAN: On Sunday, Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif met with United Arab Emirates President His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss issues of bilateral and shared interest.

Both leaders pledged to strengthen their political, cultural, and economic connections during the summit. Economic cooperation, regional stability, climate change, and advancing shared interests on the international scene were just a few of the many topics they covered.

The UAE’s visionary leadership and its position as a vital development and investment partner for Pakistan were commended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. In areas including technology, trade, infrastructure, skill development, and renewable energy, he emphasized Pakistan’s willingness to increase collaboration.

His Royal Highness The UAE is very interested in working with Pakistan in the mining, minerals, and agriculture industries, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized. The way that Pakistan’s economy has stabilized and is heading in the right route under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership has his appreciation. He underlined that there are now opportunities for increased bilateral investment and cooperation as a result of this economic recovery.

Emphasizing the value of interpersonal relationships and mutual prosperity, His Highness also restated the UAE’s commitment to strengthening its long-standing alliance with Pakistan.

For the UAE’s steadfast support throughout difficult times, especially in terms of development and humanitarian help, Prime Minister Sharif thanked His Highness. Reiterating their commitment to regional peace and development, both leaders promised to collaborate closely on issues of shared interest.

A shared decision to promote more collaboration, especially in key areas, was made at the end of the meeting to secure a better future for both countries.

In attendance at the meeting were Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Punjab Chief Minister Ms. Maryam Nawaz, Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi.

The prime minister subsequently wrote on X, “It was a pleasure to meet with my dear brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, today in Rahimyar Khan. reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to further cooperation between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates and advance our relationship to a strategic alliance that benefits both parties. With a determination to go together, topics of shared interest, such as investments in Pakistan, were deliberated.
