Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that terrorism is a global concern and that the whole community must collaborate to address it.
He conversed with Acting US Ambassador Natalie Baker in Islamabad on Thursday.
The interior minister stated that the government is implementing robust measures against terrorists and is developing a comprehensive policy to combat terrorism.
He conveyed appreciation to US President Donald Trump for recognising Pakistan’s contributions in the battle against terrorism.
He stated that Pakistan would provide complete assistance in the repatriation of illegal Pakistani immigrants living in the United States.
Mohsin Naqvi emphasised that the Pakistan-US Caucus conference is set to occur in New York next month.
The summit extensively addressed Pakistan-US ties, issues of mutual concern, and bilateral cooperation.
US Acting Ambassador Natalie Baker unequivocally denounced the recent terrorist assault on Jaffar Express and other related acts.
She sent her condolences to the families of the martyrs who perished in these atrocities.
The parties also deliberated on augmenting mutual collaboration in counterterrorism initiatives. A Counter-Terrorism Dialogue is scheduled for June of this year.
