The US proposes to sell Israel $6.4 billion worth of armaments.

According to persons familiar with the situation, the Trump administration is requesting congressional approval to sell Israel $6.4 billion worth of weaponry and support equipment, such as troop transports and attack helicopters, on Friday.

While displaced Palestinians shocked by the advance claimed they had no way to escape, Israel’s military stated it had increased operations in Gaza City on Friday and attacked Hamas facilities.

A $3.8 billion agreement for 30 AH-64 Apache attack helicopters and a $1.9 billion purchase for 3,250 infantry assault vehicles for the Israeli army are part of the proposed package. According to one of the persons, a further $750 million worth of power supply and armored personnel carrier service parts are also being sold.

Democrats’ rising apprehension about Israel’s invasion of Gaza contrasts with the Republican president’s fervent support for Israel’s troops.
