They won’t be able to stop PTI’s growth, says Omar Ayub

“They won’t be able to stop the PTI’s momentum—there are already 39 officially recognized members of the party in the house,” Ayub told the journalists outside the anti-terrorism court in Lahore.

“We shall regain our seats, seek relief from the Supreme Court, and undo the legislation because they are in violation of the Constitution,” declared the National Assembly opposition leader.

“The PPP and the Muslim League have been involved in the IPPs agreements,” he declared, demonstrating how closely the People’s Party has been working together. He remarked, “Observe the state of affairs in Punjab, Baluchistan, and Karachi—nothing is in their control.”

“The budget was made by the IMF; it is economic terrorism against the people of Pakistan,” Ayub stated, referring to the dire economic circumstances.

He insisted on not speaking to anyone. Our only request, he declared, is for a new election. The budget is anti-people, as I, an economics student, am aware of.

“Rubbing salt over wounds” is how Omar Ayub described the increase in gas and electricity rates.

His accusation was that the administration was amassing billions of rupees, and he urged them to wake up. The head of the PTI remarked, “Don’t add salt to the wounds of the honest, hardworking people.”
