To keep tabs on party internal surveys, PTI establishes an OIC advisory council.
The six members of the council are Sajjad Barki, who serves as secretary, Muhammad Iqbal, Nasir Mir, Ghulam Jillani, and Dr. Humayun Mohmund, according to a notice released here.
In addition to reviewing and proposing changes to policies and procedures within a 15-day period, the council will keep an eye on the party’s inter-party surveys.
The council has also been mandated to organize elections in the US, UK, and Australia in three months, as well as to create a plan for worldwide funding and membership in thirty days.
PTI Additional General Secretary Firdous Shamim Naqvi made the announcement.
IPP leader Awn Chaudhry had earlier said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was the “real enemy” of the nation and accused the party of employing PR companies to disseminate “propaganda” against Pakistan and its institutions.
His remarks followed the United Nations (UN) Working Group on Arbitrary Detention’s demand that PTI founder Imran Khan be released immediately, claiming that his detention constituted a “violation of international law.”
According to international law, “the appropriate remedy would be to release Mr. Khan immediately and accord him an enforceable right to compensation and other reparations,” as stated in the report of the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention, which is based in Geneva.
