To stop unlawful housing societies, Punjab will create a separate planning authority.

The Punjab Special Planning Authority (PSPA) was established by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in order to address unlawful housing societies.
It was decided at a meeting presided over by the chief minister that district-level Special Planning Committees would also be formed. Together with representatives from service-providing companies like WAPDA, Sui Gas, WASA, and others, these committees will be led by the appropriate Deputy Commissioner.
Additionally, zoning will be done for residential, commercial, and agricultural properties. Committees will be in charge of district zoning and land use planning, which will be reviewed every four years.
The group was also briefed on the implementation of a violation tracking mechanism to stop the unlawful usage of land.
The Digital District Wall will speed up the application process and assist in identifying land misuse, the participants were informed.
In order to ensure a stable future, CM Maryam Nawaz has mandated that all outstanding housing sector applications be resolved immediately.
She bemoaned the rise of uncontrolled and unlawful housing societies in cities as a result of inadequate planning.
Additionally, a proposal for distinct, consistent colours and designs for residential and commercial spaces was reviewed at the conference.
The 414 schemes included in phase one of the Lahore Development Plan were also the subject of a progress report. Every day, the Chief Minister has requested reports to assess the progress.
