Turkey and Pakistan are pleased with their bilateral ties.

Currently visiting Pakistan as co-chair of the Pakistan-Turkiye Joint Ministerial Commission, Turkiye’s Minister of National Defense Yasar Güler paid Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif a visit at Prime Minister House on Tuesday.
According to a news statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister emphasized the historic and fraternal connections between Pakistan and Turkiye, which are firmly anchored in shared history, culture, and respect, while extending a warm welcome to the Turkish Defense Minister and members of his delegation.
Reiterating Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to further bolstering collaboration with Turkiye in a variety of areas, including commerce, investment, technology, and defense, he expressed pleasure with the upward trajectory of bilateral relations.
On the sidelines of the SCO Council of Heads of State meeting in China, the Prime Minister recalled his recent meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to fostering closer ties between Pakistan and Turkey through regular engagement at all levels, including the leadership level.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif placed special emphasis on the necessity of making coordinated efforts to reach the mutually agreed-upon goal of $5 billion in bilateral commerce. The Prime Minister also encouraged Turkish businesses to increase their investment presence in Pakistan by highlighting the country’s investor-friendly policies.
Both parties pledged to keep up their close cooperation in advancing the strategic alliance between Pakistan and Turkey and reaffirmed their unwavering support for one another’s fundamental national interests.
Following the meeting, the Prime Minister hosted a dinner for the members of the Pak-Turk Joint Ministerial Commission and the Turkish Defense Minister.
