Twelve Khwarij were slain and a soldier was martyred in KP IBO: ISPR

According to an ISPR news release, “Security Forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in general area Hassan Khel, North Waziristan District on the reported presence of khwarij.”
It further stated that 12 Khwarij were killed as a result of security personnel successfully engaging the Khwarij site during the operation.
“However, during intense fire exchange, Lance Naik Muhammad Ibrahim (age: 34 years, resident of District Hangu), having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat.”
The ISPR further stated that ammunition and weapons were found on the deceased Khwarij, who continued to be actively involved in a number of terrorist attacks against security personnel and the targeted murder of defenseless civilians.
“A sanitization operation is being carried out to eradicate any additional Kharji in the region, as Pakistan’s security forces are committed to eliminating the threat of terrorism and such valiant soldiers’ sacrifices further strengthen our resolve,” the ISPR continued.
In two clearance operations in Kalat and Harnai, Balochistan, security forces and law enforcement agencies shot and killed 23 terrorists, according to the ISPR earlier on February 1.
During one such operation in the Harnai District, forces successfully confronted the terrorists, leading to the shooting deaths of eleven of them and the destruction of numerous terrorist hideouts.
18 troops accepted martyrdom while conducting operations, according to ISPR.
