Twelve miners are trapped in a Quetta coal mine by a gas explosion.
Twelve miners were trapped inside a collapsing coal mine in Sanjdi, Spin Karez, Quetta, due to a gas explosion.
The explosion happened late last night because of gas buildup in the mine, according to the chief mines inspector. Rescue efforts became difficult as a result of the fall, especially in the dark.
In an attempt to free the trapped miners, rescue crews are constructing a route to get to them.
The operation is still going on, but authorities say that great strides have been made in clearing the path.
