The anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday directed the jail administration to use a video link on September 7 to present Imran Khan, the founding chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the deputy chairman, in a vandalism lawsuit.
In the vandalism case against Khan and Qureshi, ATC judge Tahir Abbas Sipra presided.
at response, Qureshi’s attorney stated that he was being held at Kot Lakhpat Jail as a political prisoner and that he was not a convicted prisoner in response to Judge Sipra’s questions regarding Qureshi’s whereabouts and conviction status.
The jail superintendent was instructed by Judge Sipra to present Khan and Qureshi via video link at the upcoming hearing, which was later postponed until September 7.
Remember that Khan, Qureshi, and the PTI employees were the targets of two vandalism incidents that were reported to Khanna Police Station in Islamabad.
