When 13 freight train coaches derail, the train timetable is impacted.

Following the Saturday derailing of 13 coaches of a freight train between Meting and Bolari, the Up-train schedule was impacted.

13 bogies of a freight train derailed between Meting and Bolari, which is 157 kilometers from Karachi, according to railway sources. The accident did not result in any recorded casualties.

When the goods train derailled, it was traveling from Karachi to Lahore. The 149-UP Mehran Express was stopped at the Meting, and the 17-UP at Jhimpir, but the down-line is clear, according to sources, because the accident did not impact the track.

Several trains, including the Green Lines, Tezgam, Millat Express, Karakorum Express, and Karachi Express, have reportedly been stopped at several stations.

However, a relief train was dispatched to the accident scene from Kotri. According to officials, a comprehensive investigation will be conducted to discover the reason of the tragedy.

Railway rails, especially those that go from Punjab to Sindh, have been severely damaged by recent rains and floodwaters. This has caused traffic jams and forced the competent authority to take urgent action to repair the tracks.
