Why Fakhar was left out of the South Africa series squads is revealed by Aqib Javed.
The exclusion of opener Fakhar Zaman from both the white-ball and red-ball squads for the forthcoming South Africa tour has sparked concerns, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) announcement of the teams on Wednesday.
In response to the exclusion, national team head coach Aqib Javed stated that Fakhar’s poor form and match fitness were the reason for his withdrawal.
Although there has been much discussion over Fakhar’s absence, Javed made it apparent that the 33-year-old left-handed opener has not yet recovered to the necessary level of fitness after his recent exploits. Fakhar was passed over for selection in the T20I, ODI, and Test teams due to his lack of consistency.
