Fazl reveals a new platform for the cause of Gaza.

The leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman, announced the formation of a new platform under the Ittehad-e-Ummat banner and invited the Punjabi people to a public rally on April 27 in Lahore.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, the leader of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), welcomed Maulana Fazl when he visited the organization’s headquarters in Mansoora.
The JUI-F leader expressed sympathy to the JI leadership during the meeting for the passing of Professor Khurshid Ahmad, a senior party member.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman emphasized the importance of coordinated action in support of Palestinians in Gaza in a statement to the media. “If we work together, we can do much more. He questioned, “Why are our leaders not fulfilling their obligations to Gaza?”
He added that religious organizations from all throughout the nation would attend the gathering in Minar-e-Pakistan. “Even if there is a minor Israeli lobby here, it holds no significance,” he said, dismissing worries about pro-Israel influence in Pakistan.
The leader of JUI-F bemoaned the strife among Muslims, stating that the Palestinian situation is a serious issue for the Ummah as a whole. He also criticized the federal government’s decision-making, saying that all provinces should have agreed on such projects, especially when it came to building new canals.
Maulana Fazl addressed constitutional issues and said that each political party has a position on constitutional revisions. He stated that JUI-F and JI have generally held similar views on election tampering, adding, “We never claimed the 26th Constitutional Amendment to be ideal.”
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, who acknowledged that both parties had their stances, reaffirmed that Jamaat-e-Islami had categorically rejected the 26th Constitutional Amendment in a comment on the same topic.
He emphasized that JI demanded results based on Form-45 and did not support early elections. “New elections are not urgently needed. Transparency and constitutional supremacy are crucial, and all parties must agree with them,” he stated.
He also emphasized how important it is for institutions to function within the bounds of the constitution. “The country is experiencing widespread inflation, but government statistics do not reflect this,” Hafiz Naeem continued.
The JI leader said he supported Fazlur Rehman’s position on the Palestine issue.
