A terrorist attack on a police station in Bannu has been thwarted.

A terrorist assault was averted at a police station in Bannu city, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Central Police Office Peshawar reported that 18 to 19 terrorists attempted to assault the Dharay Pul police checkpoint in Bannu during the night.
The report indicated that the terrorists approached on eight motorcycles, with three observed approaching towards the checkpoint.
The terrorists intended to assault the checkpoint’s surveillance cameras and initiate an attack; instead, as law enforcement intervened, the assailants commenced firing from many directions.
Law enforcement officials promptly intervened and effectively thwarted the assault. Nevertheless, the terrorists successfully escaped the location.
IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed commended the police officers who prevented the assault on the checkpoint.
The Central Police Office has classified this operation as a significant triumph in the fight against terrorism and affirmed that law enforcement will persist in combating anti-peace factions at any expense.
