India acknowledges an intelligence failure in the Pahalgam tragedy.

During an all-party meeting on Thursday, Indian government officials conceded a failure in intelligence, acknowledging that they did not foresee a terrorist attack in Pahalgam due to the absence of historical precedent in the region.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju informed reporters post-meeting that “IB and Home Ministry officials briefed floor leaders regarding the incident.”
Opposition leaders expressed unequivocal support for the government; nevertheless, Congress raised concerns regarding the security breach. “The opposition has extended complete support to the government to undertake any action,” stated Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
The gathering follows Tuesday’s horrific event in Kashmir, resulting in a minimum of 26 fatalities.
