Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif cautioned on Sunday that any act of aggression by India will elicit a comprehensive and determined response. He stated that Pakistan will implement all requisite actions to protect its sovereignty and security.
Khawaja Asif affirmed that the government is diligently overseeing the situation in collaboration with all security agencies, and should India engage in any provocative actions, Pakistan will respond decisively.
The Defense Minister forecasted that the truth behind the current events will be revealed in the forthcoming days, asserting, “Prime Minister Modi has ensnared himself in the very trap he devised.”
“If India is confident in its account of events, it should permit the international community to carry out an independent investigation,” he stated.
Khawaja Asif asserted that India is supporting terrorist organizations such as the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to undermine Pakistan’s stability. He asserted that India’s terrorist visage had been unveiled to the world.
He emphasized that the entire nation — encompassing the populace, the military, and all institutions — is unified and resolutely aligned. “We will not permit any threat to Pakistan’s security,” he asserted.
Khawaja Asif indicated that, considering the current circumstances, a joint session of Parliament may be held imminently to address national security challenges.
