Prominent scientists and engineers receive civil awards from CJCSC.
According to ISPR, distinguished scientists and engineers employed by the National Command Authority received civil honors from General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), in recognition of their deserving contributions.
Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a statement that the CJCSA presented the awards on behalf of President Asif Ali Zardari at the investiture ceremony, which took place at Chaklala Garrison in Rawalpindi.
It stated that 47 officers in all were honored. Of these, 16 officers won Tamgha-i-Imtiaz, 10 officers received Sitara-i-Imtiaz, and 21 officers received the President’s Award for Pride of Performance.
