After a residential building collapsed in Kharadar, Karachi, everyone was safely rescued.

Authorities confirmed that all residents trapped beneath a collapsed residential building in Karachi’s Kharadar area were safely rescued, narrowly avoiding a major incident.

Police claim that the building started to collapse when the fifth floor’s roof gave way, setting off a series of events that brought down the floors below and eventually the first floor.

According to rescue officials, the collapse was caused by the old rooftop becoming weaker due to heavy rainfall. During the well-coordinated rescue effort, 16 trapped individuals were safely removed using a snorkel.

According to the building’s occupants, the water tank might have played a role in the collapse.

Six people, including three women, were hurt in a different incident in Rawalpindi’s New Sarafa Bazaar when the roof of a run-down building collapsed. Rescue services report that two critically injured people were taken to a hospital for additional care, and four victims received medical assistance on the spot.
