The Peshawar High Court awarded Ali Amin Gandapur 40 days of protective bail.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has been granted protective bail by the Peshawar High Court for 40 days, during which time authorities are not allowed to arrest him in any registered case.

The plea seeking protective bail for the chief minister was considered by the bench, which included Justices Sahibzada Asadullah and Salahuddin.

Due to official meetings, Gandapur was unable to appear, the petitioner’s attorney told the court. The court asked if reports on all cases that were still pending had been filed. In response, a spokesperson of the NAB stated that there is just one open investigation against the chief minister.

According to the petitioner’s attorney, Gandapur is the subject of 66 separate cases. The court granted a 40-day protective bail, stating that it could not provide the desired amount of time.

Additionally, the court ordered that during this time, the chief minister should not be arrested in any of the ongoing charges against him.
