Komal Meer responds to allegations of body-shaming and cosmetic surgery

Komal Meer has addressed the persistent rumors about her appearance and haters.

This includes claims of weight gain and cosmetic surgery.

In a recent podcast, the actress, who immediately became well-known for her dramatic appearance and impactful performances, responded to the rumors.

Komal talked on the growing pressure on both non-celebrities and celebrities to have cosmetic surgery.

“Everyone seems to be getting cosmetic work done these days,” she added.

“In fact, I’ve seen regular women spending more than celebrities on such treatments.”

She did clarify, though, that she had not had surgery.

“I swear, I haven’t had any procedures done,” she clarified.

“I have a double chin, but people keep praising my cheeks without noticing it.”

The subject of body-shaming, which has been a common problem for the actress, was then brought up.

Komal was irritated by the public’s fixation on her weight.

For a part in an upcoming drama, she said, she had merely put on six kg.

“I don’t understand why people feel the need to shame me over my body,” she said.

“They had something negative to say, even when I was skinny.”

Komal continued by explaining that she had gained weight for a dramatic role, but sadly, the project had been shelved.

Komal disclosed: “I took the character seriously and relaxed my strict diet.”

She also hit out at those who have been trolling her: To those trolling me, please don’t resent my weight gain. Let me live my life.

“I’ll be hitting the gym soon and getting back in shape.

“And for everyone asking about my diet routine, don’t worry, I’ll be sharing it soon.”
