The PCB is contemplating a new foreign head coach as it initiates the search for new candidates.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formally announced the vacancy for the Head Coach position of the Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team, aiming for a long-term appointment.

Aqib Javed, designated as the interim head coach till the Champions Trophy, was also entrusted with responsibilities during the New Zealand tour. Sources have recently disclosed that Aqib is no longer interested in the head coach position and is instead eager to pursue the Director of High Performance role.

The PCB has announced the opening for the Head Coach position on its official website. A distinct posting has been published for the Director of High Performance position, which has remained unfilled since Nadeem Khan’s resignation.

Sources stated that the PCB is receptive to employing a foreign head coach once more, suggesting a potential shift in policy for the national team’s future path.
