PM Shehbaz expresses sorrow over landslip deaths in China

The deaths brought on by landslides that struck Guizhou Province in southwest China were lamented by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday.

The prime minister said on his X timeline, “Deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives due to landslides in Guizhou, China.”

In the landslip episodes, at least four people have perished and 17 are still stuck, according to China’s state-run Xinhua news agency.

On the same day, two people were trapped in Changshi and 19 in Guowa townships in Dafang County, which is part of the city of Bijie, by two different landslides, according to the news agency.
